CSCTCA

The portfolio was sold as part of the fund strategy.

The former portfolios of Chr. Salvesen & Chr. Thams, NTE and NKER were merged into CSCTCA by end of 2017.

The portfolio of the former Chr Salvesen & Chr Thams’s Communications Aktieselskab includes five power plants,  located in a cluster near the Orkla watercourse approx. 25km south-west of Trondheim.

This portfolio was aquired in June 2015. Several of the power plants have large storages (as shown on map) with a total volume of about 40 Mio m³. The portfolio consists of three very old power plants that have been constructed in the beginning of the 20th century and 3 newer HPPs constructed in the beginning of 21st century.

The three largest power plants Skjenaldfossen & Sølbergfallet  (21 GWh) and Sagbergfossen (3,7 GWh) have reservoirs at the intake location which are fed by lakes Våvatnet, Gangsåsvatnet and Ånøya. These reservoirs allow flexibility in the operation, they enable a quite stable energy production over the whole year with peak production in late winter time. Frilsjøen (0,5 GWh) und Stygtjønna (0,1 GWh) are micro power plants located at tributary streams of the same region.

The  hydropower  plants of the former NTE  are  located  in  Nord-Trøndelag  (North-Trøndelag). The portfolio has approx. 25,3 GWh in production. Several of the plants are more than 100 years old but are very well maintained  and  have  been  refurbished  several  times  with  renewal  of  the  machinery  in  the  80’s  and  dam upgrades on several projects within the last 10 years. Most of the plants have reservoirs capacity.

The portfolio was acquired and integrated into BoS in 2016 and merged with CSCTCA in 2017.

The plants of the previous NKER portfolio are mainly located in the south-western part of Norway. Svartdalen, Rasdalen and Kvernhuselvi are all located near Bergen. Kvernhuselvi has concession, but grid capacity pending. Grid access is expected in 2019. NKER has 27% of the eternal waterfall rights of Rasdalen.

This portfolio was acquired by BoS through a merger with SV Vattenkraft in 2016. In 2017 the power plants Imsland, Fosstveit and Rasdalen (only fall rights) were merged with CSCTCA.

The portfolio was sold as part of a structured exit process on July 4th, 2022.
