Wolfgang Kröpfl, MBA

Wolfgang Kröpfl has been Managing Director (CEO) of enso GmbH since the company was established as an asset manager in 2008. He has been involved in the development of the enso group since its foundation and in particular has driven enso's acquisition activities in Southeast Europe. Project selection and project management as his areas of responsibility demand the highest level of knowledge of local markets and the ability to swiftly establish a local network. In a professional career spanning more than 30 years, Wolfgang gained extensive experience in project development almost exclusively in the energy sector and for decarbonization projects. From 2003 to 2009 he was Managing Director of HW Elektrotechnik GmbH, member of the Hereschwerke Group, which he had joined in 1996. Prior to that, the graduate electrical engineer was managing director of KONRAD Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH predominantly implementing power plant engineering projects for Hartmann & Braun as well as Siemens.

Georg Schweighofer

Project management and concept planning are part of Georg’s spectrum of functions. Even before a project is conceived, the certified master builder works meticulously with the concepts until the ideal design of the project is found.

During his studies of Electrical and Civil Engineering at the Graz University of Technology Georg already focused on “constructive hydraulic engineering”. After a few years in engineering offices and an expatriate stay in Nigeria where he was in charge of the local project management for construction company Strabag, Georg specialized in design work for the energy sector with a focus on hydropower plants. In his more than 9 years at Energie Steiermark AG as well as its design office Plan T he designed and implemented more than 20 power plants such as the Murkraftwerke Gössendorf and Kalsdorf.

As CTO and Managing Director of enso hydro GmbH, Georg is responsible for the implementation of all worldwide projects within the enso Group.
