The power plant Agkolu is located in the center of the Turkish hazelnut production in the province of Ordu on the river Melet and was in operation when enso acquired Mor Elektrik Üretim A.S.. The catchment area covers 312,7 km². With an installed capacity of 4,34 MW, the standard capacity of this plant is 15,26 GWh per year. Through the use of a 42 m high dam, the feed into the grid can be used during daytime-dependent electricity rate peaks.
