The cascade along Mati River consists of 3 hydroelectric power plants and is situated in a valley 2 hours drive northeast of Tirana. It utilizes a section of the Mat river at 355m to 170m above sea level with a catchment area of about 357 km2 and a side stream of Mati river (Xibrri river) with a catchment area of about 31 km2. The cascade comprises of two derivation power plants at intermediate pressure and one derivation power plant at high pressure.

The planned annual production amounts to 134,7 GWh with a total installed capacity of around 38 MW.
